Where Do My Donations Go?

The Madonna Shop & Ginny’s Thrift Store accepts donations of children’s and adult clothing, toys, bedding, children’s accessory items, etc. and then sells these items to help fund and provide Vocational training for special needs adults who then are contracted by local companies to do piece work.  Along with training and placement, the shop serves as a safe and nurturing work environment for these individuals and also offers co-worker relationships, goal setting, and industrial safety knowledge. This Thrift Shop also helps with funding for the Madonna School, who serves special needs students in the community by encouraging optimum performance, developing academic and survival skills, establishing self-confidence and making job training opportunities in order to enable each student to become an independent, self-supporting individual.

Along with funding the Madonna School and Madonna Workshop, Ginny’s Thrift Store has helped many families in the past that are in dire situations. The Madonna shop has provided them with clothes, toys, jackets, and blankets to them to get them through until they can provide for themselves. They are a caring staff who know of and help out our own local people in need in the Omaha metro area and surrounding areas. Sometimes you want to personally touch the people in your own local community with these gifts, the Madonna School and Madonna Workshop are doing just that and they need our donations to keep on with their most important missions.
